Registered Respiratory Therapist

Originally from Quebec, mother of 3 young children and married since 2010 with a military man. Graduating in Respiratory Therapy in 2008 and acquiring 2 College certificates in Critical Care and anesthesia in 2009-2010. Beginning her career in Quebec, working in critical care and in the OR at a Trauma and Burn unit hospital until 2012. Subsequently, relocating to Ontario and then Quebec, where she began her work in Sleep Apnea while also working as a flight therapist transporting patients from more remote communities in the Quebec region. In 2019 she returned to Montreal, continuing this path, she works in Sleep Apnea as well as working in a private operating room specializing in gender transition, the only one of its kind in Canada. Having lived all over Eastern Canada, then finally, with the taste for adventure pushing us to request a posting here to Yellowknife with the aim of seeing our children grow up in an enriching and family environment with my parents in toe, all making the move in 2022.

Marlene Parazelli

Administrative Assistant

Originally from Montreal, Marlene has called Yellowknife home since January 2017. Her family grew since Marlene and her husband moved and they now have two daughters who are both real Northerners! Speaking only French since her early age, Marlene decided to travel and see the world. It was only in 2011 that she could really say she became fluent in English … albeit with an accent! Her two little girls go to l’Ecole Allain St-Cyr and will soon become bilingual even though Marlene’s family only speaks French at home!

Caitlin, a Vancouver Island native, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2016. Why Choose North Cair Medical in Parksville

Island Life Needs Island Solutions

Living on Vancouver Island is different from living on the mainland. Winter storms can knock out power for days. This affects CPAP machines. Ferry schedules make it hard to get to appointments off the island. Sleep clinics on the mainland don’t understand these problems. But we do.

Personal Care That Understands You

Local sleep doctors understand why you live on the island. Maybe you retired here and want to enjoy morning walks on the beach. Maybe you still work and need energy for your daily life. We know island life. We make treatment plans that work for how you live.

Community Trust

Island communities are built on trust and long friendships. When you choose North Cair Medical, you work with healthcare people who care about being part of the community. We are your neighbors. We want to help you feel better.

Help When You Need It

When your CPAP machine breaks at 2 AM or your mask doesn’t fit right, having local help makes a big difference. You don’t want to wait for mainland business hours or talk to call centers far away. We are here when you need us.
